Up to 1500mg of metformin...
and after I took it last night, I felt sooooooo out of it. Almost like I was in a daze. I went to sleep to try and ignore the side effect but am up now, and still don't feel completely "with it". Has this happened to anyone else? I'm a bit nervous about going into work today...

I guess it could be low blood sugar. I've never had these symptoms.
Feel better and call the RE. Just let them know how you're feeling

I've never had those symptoms. Maybe you are coming down with something and its a coincidence?

I never had any side effects from the Metformin.........maybe you're just not feeling well by coincidence. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon.

Just had a thought--were you DEFINITELY insulin resistant?
I was put on Met BEFORE being given a glucose tolerance test (oversight), but my RE said that if I weren't IR, I would feel lightheaded, because it's like the symptoms of hypoglycemia.
Something I just thought of.

Something I just thought of.
I was put on it to help regulate my cycles however, my glucose levels were perfect. I don't have any insulin resistance. I guess I got lucky in terms of side effects because other than a little stomach discomfort the first week I was fine the whole 3-4 months I was on it.
Interesting point though.......I could see how that would be a side effect if you didn't have insulin resistance.

Thanks for your replies.
Nope, I am definitely IR - had a glucose test to confirm it.
This is my second morning waking up not feeling well - this morning I am VERY dizzy. I wonder if it's affecting my sugar levels. I will call the doctor this am.
