Does it really bother you when
your DH or SO leaves the toliet seat up???
DH rarely does...but it dosent bother me at all... i get more mad when he leaves his dishes in the sink...rather than loading the diswasher....

Only because Brodie's new thing is to drink out of the bowl!!
But pre-dog, it never really bothered me. He usually remembers to put it down. I always look before I sit!!

Actually it irritates me that at my house my father leaves the seat up, but at his own house he doesn't
DH always puts ours down.

that doesn't bother me, what bothers me is the surprise I sometimes find on the seat if he's too lazy to pick the seat up!

Sometimes I prefer that he leave it up....that way when he splashes water all over the bathroom, I don't sit on it later 
Seriously, it doesn't bother me that much, unless I get up in the middle of the night, and don't realize it before I sit

Ok this is the perfect opportunity for you to get him to stop. It's a drowning thing...once RJ begins to walk - the toilet seat needs to be down & the bathroom door closed.
And as a mom of a boy, I'm doing my part to help the next generation of women by teaching Joseph that the toilet seat goes DOWN because that's the way gravity works.

It gets so dirty and I just think "why can't he just simply put it down".
I also hate how he leaves shaving gel, stubble and toothpaste all over the sink. I leave after he does and his exscuse is that the sink doesn't drain properly

My DH NEVER does it but WHAT MAKES ME REALLY MAD!!!! Is when his dad comes over and leaves it up! Its one thing if your wife lets ya do it at home but dont come to my house adn do it.
