Sirrus question.
sorry, I am slow, still learning....
DH ordered that new 300.00 one for me. The one that goes anywhere. But now my cousin calls and said it is not good for us. It never will be live, just recorded. So I don't drive, I have a 3 hour commute everyday. I don't get home till 8, so I don't think I would listen then.
Is there anyway I can still get howard? Even if it is recorded and i am a day late, that is fine, but when I take it with me, will I miss that day's show?

The lady at circuit city said since it does not have an antenna that goes with it, it will only play recorded things while I commute.
When I think I know what is going on, it all changes again.

Listen whenever and wherever you want. Get SIRIUS live with the included car or optional home dock or go portable with your stored content. Just detach the Satellite Media Player and listen to your favorite commercial-free music, news, sports and shows wherever you go.

That's weird. I never heard of that. Maybe someone else here is familiar with that. We have ours almost a year. We can put it in our cars and have a boom box to put it in. We love it. My dh puts it in his car so I barely get to use it anymore!

I think it has to be in a dock to get it live, and when you take it with you it will be stuff you recorded while in the dock.

thanks, that is what we are thinking. so it has to be on the dock to record then? So if I take it with me to listen to yesterday's show, I am missing today's show, right? So I will only get every other show a day late for 12.00 a month? hehe...Merry Christmas to me.

Janice, we just got sirius and i will point out that also get a free online subscription, where you can listen to the live feed of any channel. Howard included. The only thing is, given the nature of his show, you may want headphones if you are listening at work

what about earplugs?
that is what my friend suggested, but not really comfortable with that. thanks though. I work in a financial firm that deals with face to face with clients, I just would not feel comfortable.
Howard people-do you think his show will just play over and over that day? so if I did want to listen at 8 that night, I could?

This is what Opie & Anthony used to do on XM, their show was on a constant loop each day. Now that they've been on for a year they do their show live from 7-11, then it's Ron & Fez live from 11-2 and then they replay old stuff from 2-3, their show replays from 3-7 and then old stuff again. Ron & Fez repeat at midnight.
