have either a closet or a box (boxes) of baby stuff that you've bought? Just curious to see if I'm the only one that does this. Chat Icon Wishful thinking I know but sometimes I can't help myself. I've tried to stay neutral in the outfits so once we manage to have a baby, whether it's a girl or a boy, they can wear it!
The reason I ask is I've been cleaning our guest bedroom/office ALL day and I was in the closet organizing it and I came across a bunch of baby outfits, bibs, etc... and it got me to thinking I wonder if I'm the only one.
On a happier note, I convinced DH that since I'm a disney nut and he's not so much that we can finally hang my snow white, bambi, dumbo, etc... stuff that's been sitting in boxes for forever!! Chat Icon Chat Icon I'm so excited. I told him it'll be less work in changing it into a nursery someday! Besides, the only guests we ever have are our neice and nephews so they'll be so excited!

Re: How many of you (us)

Nope, never bought anything

I have a bin in the garage of freebies I got from shows I worked (I used to work for a children's store) but we are cleaning out the garage soon and I told DH to toss them

No... I'm jewish and I will not bring any baby related items into my home until I bring my baby home after giving birth. I will also not be having a baby shower if and when the time comes. The only thing we will do when the time comes is paint the bedroom which will eventually be the nursery.

Re: How many of you (us)

I have never bought anything, but I do have some favors that I have gotten from baby showers that I recently attended. I didn't want to throw the stuff away. I read an article, I think it was posted on here once, of a husband and wife who had a room filled with baby stuff and were suffering from infertility.

Re: How many of you (us)

Yes, I have a HUGE tote full of baby stuff. I used to work at Babies R Us--I was the Customer Service manager. Girls would come in after their showers to return stuff without the receipt. Sometimes, a GORGEOUS outfit would come up being worth like, $2.00, and they'd still return it!!!!! Chat Icon So, I'd always snatch it up to add to the "someday" tote.

The best thing ever was when BRU changed the packaging on their onesies. A woman returned about 8 packages of them--but they were the ones in the old packaging. I picked them up for 80 cents each!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm determined to use them one day!

No baby outfits for me but I am in the process of knitting a baby bib, booties and bonnet from a kit somebody gave me at my wedding shower. I figure by the time I actually finish these I might actually have a baby to put them onChat Icon

ETS:

Although it will only be helpful if the baby is a Chat Icon since the yarn is pinkChat Icon

Re: How many of you (us)

I wont buy a thing. Major Jewish superstition. Not one thing for a child will go past the door until a child is born.

However, my mother is very excited at the idea of giving me an afghan/sweater set that my grandmother had made. None of us 4 kids or the already existing 4 grandchildren used this yet which makes me wonder what my Mom was saving this for. It has to be over 40 years old. I just hope there are no holes in it.

Re: How many of you (us)

I have no baby stuff whatsoever...when I did get a BFP, I went and bought a bib that says "I love my daddy" to tell DH.
So far that's all I've bought yet...although I am starting to look now.

Re: How many of you (us)

No, I haven't bought anything. Although I was with my mom in Target after Christmas and she found 2 onesies in the clearance section for 79 cents each!! So she bought them (I refused to) and she has them at her house "just in case". I almost bought this adorable sweater and I wish I had, but I would have had it for over 6 months now and that would have been hard for me.

Re: How many of you (us)

I have never bought any baby things. I'll admit that I glance at them in the store, but I have never bought anything. I don't like to do anything until I know its for real. Kind of like the same thing that I wouldn't look at any wedding related things before I got engaged.
