Dr. Brenner and first appointment

I was originally supposed to go to ECF on Wednesday, but JUST found out they do not take my insurance - and unfortunately, it's going to be more of a headache trying to get coverage for an out of network doctor.

So, I called the Lake Success Office at LI/IVF and got an appointment with Dr. Brenner for THURSDAY!!! I guess they had an opening and I lucked out!

My questions to you are...

1) Do you see Dr. Brenner and are you happy with him?

2) What should I expect for my first visit?

3) I had CD3 blood work done this past cycle and will bring it with me - will that be useful to him? I also have CD54 blod work too and sonogram results from CD54 confirming my PCOS - should I have that info faxed??

TIA

Re: Dr. Brenner and first appointment

i went to dr. brenner and really liked him and the whole staff. as you move on, you will deal a lot with the nurses and nurse practioner too.

at my first visit, i went over all my history and he took notes. he was very upfront about our situation and seemed down to earth. they took our picture (me and dh) for our file and they drew blood. he also did a quick internal exam.

i would bring any and all documents you have regarding your medical history. i had a big binder with my stuff and he had one of the girls copy many pages of it.

good luck!!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks for the info Chat Icon

I am not positive my DH can make it to the first visit - is that going to be a problem?

Re: Dr. Brenner and first appointment

I am currently seeing Dr. Brenner and have been since June. I really like him and the staff. I am starting my first IVF cycle.

At the consultation I brought with me any charting I had done. I would also bring blood work with you.

they took my blood and did an internal exam and set up appts. for my first iui. good luck! FM me if you have any questions.

I was a patient too and liked going to him. I adore the NP, Gail. She was phenomenal! I brought any related records from my OB/GYN and my charts. He did a medical history and we chatted. He also did an internal, bloodwork, and gave us what we needed for the SA. DH came, but it wasn't so necessary. He was needed more for support. Good luck!

I saw Dr. Kenigsberg, but dealt with Dr. Brenner a few times and thought he was extremely nice and very good at explaining things!Chat Icon
