Re: do you have to have full bladder
They should do an internal for your first sono. You will want to have an EMPTY bladder for the internal.

Re: do you have to have full bladder
I had to have a full bladder for my 12 week and 20 week sono. Not for my very first one at 9 weeks though.

Re: do you have to have full bladder
Since they will most likely do an internal, when you get there they will have you empty your bladder.
So far, both of my sonos, a full bladder was not necessary.

Re: do you have to have full bladder
I have never had to have a full bladder. That is so there is enough fluid when you haven't got enough amniotic fluid. But internal sonos don't need fluid, so you don't need a full bladder. Your OB would have told you if you needed one.

Re: do you have to have full bladder
They make me do a urine sample so as much as I tried to hold it they made me go before I went in, also I had an internal done and that would not be very good to have a full bladder. For my 20 week, Level II they said to hold it for an hour or more is better, it is good for a full on their...I hope they can tell the sex by then
