Re: Registry question

I know BRU is really popular but I love BBB and most of the things in their store, even DH was impressed with BBB and most Out of Towners will order and send gifts anyway, I like when people do both BBB and BRU split the registery. oh I am no help am I?

Re: Registry question

I did BRU b/c I have a lot of older out of state family. Most of them do not like the idea of shopping online and I know they will want to go to the store to pick things out. BRU had locations close to most of them.

Re: Registry question

We did both BRU and BBB. More items were on BRU though cause alot of family lives near a BRU so we were trying to do what was convenient for most. I love BBB though!

Re: Registry question

I've heard was absolutely horrible as far as exchanges and returns so I would try not to register there. I really like BBB but it was to far away for my friends and family to go to. I registered at BRU...there are so many locations to make it easy for guests to shop.

Re: Registry question

DH and I went with BRU because we have a lot of out-of-state family who have access to a local BRU and they don't live near BBB. Also, BRU's web site is more developed than BBB's. However, we were more impressed with the selection in BBB's store than we were with BRU.

This is why we chose BRU too. Since we live in Virginia and most of our friends are out of state, it's easier for them to find a BRU since they like to "see" what they buy in a store rather than online. I also have a smaller registry on Target though their return policy is very strict - nothing without a receipt even if it's off your registry. I had a girlfriend of mine stuck with 3 Boppy pillows because she couldn't return 2 of them because the guests forgot to include a gift receipt.

Re: Registry question

I feel as though Targets selection is lacking. They offer more of the "top sellers" rather then everything in baby world.

BBB has a tendency of being a bit more $$ then BRU.

We went with BRU.

Re: Registry question

I've been hearing bad things about Target.

We only registered at BRU. We would have also registered at BBB if they had a bedding or pattern of stroller/car seat that they didn't have at BRU.

Re: Registry question

Target's return policy is the devil.
I registered at BRU mostly, and a few things at BBB.
BBB has free shipping.

ETA- they carry different brands, too- so if you do your research and find them split, then do both!
My carseat wa sonly at BBB, and my stroller was only at BRU.

Re: Registry question

I registered at BRU mostly because it was just the most convenient for me. But, also, i have lots of friends and famly from out of state, and they don't have BBB there. I figured- or hoped - that BRU would be more convenient for family and friends, too.

So far I'm very happy with things. The staff at BRU has been so helpful - they seem very knowledeable.

Re: Registry question

I registered at both....more at BRU then BBB, but I liked some of the "different" stuff that BBB carried. I was worried about the whole out of town factor w/BBB---but a few people already sent me stuff ordered from the website. I love Target, but refuse to register with them due to the horrible return policy

Re: Registry question

We registered at BBB. I really liked their selection of items. I also found it pretty easy to deal with so far. I also learned today that they have great discount coupons!

We did BBB as well, since most of our guests are local, it won't be a problem.
