I thought about it and looked into it. I did a search for some independent research on the internet and didn't find much to support the theory of it. I found a blog from a writer for the NY Times or Washhington post (don't really remember) He apparently spent a lot of time looking into it and basically said it was all a lot of BS to make prospective parents spend $150 on something that they don't need. (If I remembered where the blog is I would post it, but I'm sorry I don't. I might have posted it here when I found it a few month ago so do a search.) Really, if you look at articles about it, they just say thats it exists, but not much else about it. So we didn't get it.

A better investment I think is the book I'm reading now called "bright from the start" and talks about things you can do with your newborn through toddler to get their brain activity working at capacity.
