What are your Top 7 of 07?

Post your top 7's of 2007! Happy New Year!

Note: These are not necessarily things that CAME OUT in 2007, rather things that I read/listened to/saw in 2007. <--agreed

************************************************************
Top 07 of 07

FILM - I didn't see a lot of movies, but I'll try to remember
1. Enchanted!
I finally saw this and I adored every second of it and cried about 10 times...although this is a big DUH for me. A movie about a fairy tale princess, and it's a take on classic Disney Princesses. Duh and DUH
2. Pirates 3
Not as good as the first one, but I still love this series, although the ending disappointed me. Why couldn't Elizabeth join him on the boat?
3. Harry Potter 5
Movie of one of my fave books. Awesome!
4. Pan's Labyrinth
I loved this movie, although the violence was unexpected and gratuitous and though I have the DVD I haven't been able to watch it again
5. The Nativity Story
This was a really interesting take on and ages old tale

6. Borat
Yes, I finally saw this movie in 07 when I sprained my ankle. I watched it about 4 times in a row and laughed my *** off everytime.

7. License to Wed- Notable because my whole family saw it together in the movies

BOOKS

1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - This has to be the most anticipated book of all time and it did NOT disappoint. I will miss the midnight magic parties and Harry's adventures. Finishing this book was a bittersweet moment
2. Test Pilot by Stanley H. Kaplan - I'm a humungo nerd.

His Dark Materials Trilogy - made a fantasy reader out of me
3. The Golden Compass
4. The Subtle Knife
5. The Amber Spyglass
6
. Stardust - It's a fairy tale..'nuff said
7. A People's History of the United States - I haven't nearly finished this, but I adore it.

TV
1. Dexter- OMG..
2. Weeds- Is awesome
3. Project Runway- Even thoug it breaks my heart every year
4. Degrassi- I can't help it, I love this show
5. The Colbert Report-Marry Me, Stephen
6. Family Guy - always a classic
7. Big Love

MUSIC
Oddly enough I think I paid zero attention to music this year, so I'll tell you what I listened to a lot of
1. John Doyle's Company revivial soundtrack
2. The Who - as always
3. Black Eyed Peas/Fergie - I can't help it. I adore them.
4. Counting Crows - as always
5. Peter Cetera/Chicago - our wedding song(s)
6. Christmas Music!!!!!
7. The Rocky Horror Show Original London Cast

STAGE - Some of this may be last year, I can't really remember
1. The Germans in Paris
-I'm just going to put this here because it was an incredible show I worked on. Chat Icon
2. Contempuously in Love
-Was a little play I directed in March.

3. Company
- Was incredible. John Doyle is one of my directing gurus and Company was incredible!

3. Altar Boyz - We saw this ona whim and I wasn't expecting to like it, but I am in LOOOOVE with it. I almost wet my pants. It was hilarious and so much fun sitting in the first row. It's a take on a Christian boy band. It's funny as heck, and believe it or not I've used some of the songs from it in my CCD class.

4. Pygmalion- Saw the last performance of this gem starring the lovely Claire Danes

5.Mary Poppins
-Saw this in Feburary. Of course I loved it. I liked the added story line and the Chim Chim Cheree scene was to die for!

7. Sweeney Todd
-This was 2006, but I can't remember what else I saw in 2007. It was incredible and wonderful and so new and amazing. I want to have John Doyle's babies.

Looking forward to in 2008….

FILM
I still haven't seen Sweeney Todd. Sondheim, Burton, Depp, what a fab combination!

MUSIC
Try to see Counting Crows in concert, maybe. I've really let music fall by the wayside.

STAGE
I haven't been following much...but defintiely Gypsy. I wanted to see it at City Center and missed Patti LuPone in Sweeney.

TV
Another season of Dexter and Weeds, and sadly enough, Celebrity Rehab looks disgustingly irresistible.
