well i just do not understand why anyone thinks that they have the right to sell anything on the moon.
Exactly when was the moon owned by anyone for them to be able to sell it?

It's on par with "naming a star" after someone and they're copyrighting in Congress...you can copyright a shopping list if you wanted. It infuriates me that my SIL got scammed by this - she got one named for my son, bought one for her wedding with her & her husband's new name....before Maddie was born, she mentioned getting one again - and that's when I had to tell her. I felt horrible breaking the news to her.

Right...who owns the moon? But, this is just like when they sell stars...who exactly owns the stars that people buy?
I guess it's brillance on the part of the people who will make money off this, because you know there are people out there who are going to want this...and for what???

yes i thought about the star thing as well
BUT lets face it one can never really inhabit a star so it really doesn't matter if someone "owns" it or not.
THE MOON on the other hand just may be inhabitable one day....So selling parts of it can be a serious thing. And since the WHOLE EARTH is affected by the moon, why do some feel that it is their right to "sell" anything on it. Because they have money? Well tough sh!t. NOBODY owns it imo so it can't be sold.
