question - you ladies may have more knowledge in this area

i have been off birth control for several months and have been having very short cycles, the shortest being 23 days, but i think AF is on her way again, and that would mean this cycle would be about 20-21 days long.

i know that i have a short LP and i have been taking b-complex vitamins to try to lengthen it, but it doesn't seem to be working.

even though i have only been trying for a "relatively" short time, i am going to find a new OBGYN as soon as AF comes.

is there anything else i should be doing?

Re: question - you ladies may have more knowledge in this area

Hi there, birth control is very complex sometimes..i came off of it and had a similar experience.. i was on seasonique so i only got a period once every 3 months..well, i had a similar problem to you with short luteal and short cycles..i was ovulating on day 15 and getting a period on day 25-26 and then one month it would be longer, and short again and now my cycles are so long it is crazy. In my opinion i would see the obgyn for a basic workup of hormones etc...better to learn now than worry each month..it is awful..
I think with the pill it can take a bit of time to adjust but i have been off since last april may and am still wacky..for me , they started me on clomid as they suspect pcos even though my hormones are all coming back normal and i have zero cysts..it is weird..but it is good to be proactive about your health bc i know they say wait a year..whatever to that!!! If there is a cycle issue etc..go in and get it checked..for peace of mind. It helped me a bit but i ended up at a RE bc my obgyn wasnt too concerned and then my cycles got soo long i decided to take matters into my own hands after having no success at getting pregnant so, good luck and feel free to PM me anytime if you have any questions.
