Jewelry Appraisal in Nassau/Western Suffolk?
I've used the Jewelry Judge in the past and was happy with him but his prices have basically tripled since we were there a few years ago and I'm looking to try somewhere new.
I would really prefer someplace that charges a percentage of the appraised value.
I already called:
Macy's Herald Square (we MAY go there..they only do 2 pieces at a time on weekends and I have 3)
Gennaro Jewelers (again, we may go there, but their estimate per piece seems like it will be just as much as JJ)
Am I just being cheap? 
I like that Macy's charges a percentage of the value..straightforward and not a fortune..but I would love to go somewhere closer!

it use to be $80 or $90 per caret.
$250/hr??????
 I guess I won't be going back there!  I liked them alot.

The only place I would recommend would be Gennaro's, I dont know of anywhere else

The Jewlery Appraiser, in Manhasset. They did a great appraisal and nice presentation on the paperwork. I think she is also a vendor in LIW

Its the only place I take my jewelry (the owner is a family friend) but I always feel safe going there and your jewelry NEVER leaves your sight which is important to us.
