Aging

We were looking at pictures the other day from when we started dating and I realized how much I have aged. So did DH, he didn't know better than to say "look how young you were!!!!!" Gee, thanks. Chat Icon

But in looking back I think I aged a lot between the ages of 24-26. I hope it stops now for a while. The stress of getting married, getting a master's, and buying a house during those years probably didn't help!

When do you think you did a lot of aging and please tell me it slows down for a while. Chat Icon

I see people from HS who are like "OMG you look EXACTLY the same" ......Um, yes, that extra 35 lbs I've gained in the past 10 years has obviously filled in any wrinkles I may have -

Re: Aging

I noticed that I aged alot between 26-30... Since 30 I don't feel I have aged that much (people say I have the early 30 glow).. so yes I think you do slow down... My mother said the next big bump will be between 36 to 40.. Great I have a few years left before I visit the plastic surgeon Chat Icon

Re: Aging

DW hasn't aged that much. Her mom and dad both look quite a bit younger than they really are.

I, on the hand, am losing my hair quickly, and what little is staying around is starting to turn grey... Chat Icon

Re: Aging

so far, so good.

but I am afraid.

I am 32 years old and have always looked younger.

no grey or wrinkles YET...

but time will begin it's inevitable march across my face...I want to be armed with antiaging creams when it does..

I just don't know which ones to use...

what do you use when you don't have wrinkles YET...and you don't want any.

anywho...I haven't really aged..I've just "come into my beauty" LOL. I look more sophisticated.

dh and I have been together 13 years...and he freakin looks younger NOW than he did in college!

Pretty much the same here. I'm 29 and look a lot younger. I've gotten carded for R rated movies recently!
It's even funnier cause DH is 15 years older then me. He also looks younger so it worksChat Icon

I guess I aged the most between 24-27 when I was working two jobs and going to school. As for DH I think it's been since we've been married Chat Icon

OMG so TRUE Chat Icon

I don't think I've ever had a grey hair (hard to tell, I'm blonde), and I'm only starting to see the first micro wrinkles now. (I'm 35) But I drink a lot of water/juice, and I do avoid processed foods, sodas, fast food, and don't eat out too frequently... so my diet is really good.

yeah, did gain that weight though Chat Icon

Any dermatologist I have gone to has said the same thing. The best anti-aging cream is SUNBLOCK. Everything else is a gimmick. Drink plenty of water and thank your genes...I know I do Chat Icon

Re: Aging

I think where I see my aging the most is around my eyes--- and I think that happened around when we got married.

I am 32. People who don't know me think I am much younger-- even younger people think I am around their age-- this makes me feel the best.

My parents look pretty good though--- although my MIL, has not one wrinkle on her face. I feel like DH won't get any wrinkles at all.

As for anti-aging. I have started to really pay attention to what eye creams I put on at night-- deep moisture, vaseline, etc-- anything to prevent those wrinkles or to reduce the appearance of the teeny tiny fine lines around my eyes. Everything else-- deep moitsurizer at night and for during the day one with SPF 30.

I am pretty lucky. I look younger than my 31 years. I do have grays buried deep beneath the top layer of my hair, but that is easy to fix.

I am another who gets carded still for R rated movies at age 27. I hate it, but am consistently being told that "you will appreciate it when you are older".

DH just turned 30 and his hair is starting to gray and he is really upset about it. I love it, I think he looks more handsome than ever.

Re: Aging

I think I started to age a little around 24-25. I'm 27 now, but I can see a difference when I look at past pictures of myself. I still look pretty young though, and people can't believe I'm 27. I have always looked young, but I don't think I look 21 anymore.

I get it all the time from strangers. They ask me if I'm in my early 20's. Pfft...Chat Icon

I have PLENTY of grey hairs and a few wrinkles. I get my hair highlighted and I use Oil of Olay. What else can I do?

Re: Aging

I think from 32+ I aged dramatically (& not gracefully at all, I might add).

I think a lot of it has to do with lack of sleep and gaining & losing weight.
