Anyone know anything about cars?
I'm having a problem with my car and I'm hoping someone can tell me what might be wrong.
When I turn the key, the car does not turn on, but the radio and all of that starts. If I let it sit like that for 5-10 seconds and turn the key again, it starts up, no problem. It's not making any other noises and once it starts it runs fine.

It sounds like your starter may be on it's way out.
Does it click when you turn the key? Just like a regular click - not an engine click.

It doesn't click - that happened this time last year and it turned out to be the battery.
I guess I'll be bringing it into the mechanic this weekend and getting it checked out.

That's no good if your battery only lasted a year!
If it is your battery, make sure your lights and radio are off before you turn on the car - that might eliminate the need for waiting!

How would it be the battery if the radio and electric comes on? 
I also vote alternator or starter. Go to a good mechanic!

- starter
- fuel injectors
- bad gas - I would recm'd going to the gas station and buying a container of 'dry gas' (it's alcohol) - pouring into yoru gas tank, and filling the car up with some new gas.....

It's not the battery if the radio and lights are coming on. Sounds like an alternator or timing belt. I can ask DH what he thinks.
