I am DONE with my RE
After all that crying on Friday after the other doctor in my RE's practice told me that, because the only red flag in my chart is the issue with my CM from the post-coital, I should go straight to IUI (which they know my insurance doesn't cover), the OTHER doctor called me back and said that the bloodwork they took that day shows that in fact, I wasn't ovulating (as I had told them because my monitor was still on a low reading) and that, because of that, the post-coital wasn't reliable and inconclusive.
Whatever. I'm done. I'm really concerned about their ignorance about the revised TSH guidelines, and the fact that the other doctor in the practice hardly even read my chart, but was so quick to jump the gun, put me on clomid (which makes no sense, my bloodwork shows I'm ovulating) and go straight to IUI without even looking at the thyroid issue.
So, today, I'm calling them, getting a copy of my chart and basically firing them, and instead, because they tested us for EVERYTHING else, and it all came back normal except for the TSH, I'm just going to make a call to get an appointment with an endocrinologist and that's that, for now.

So sorry you had to go through that BS. But good for you for being proactive! You're definitely doing the right thing!

Re: I am DONE with my RE
What a PITA, sorry you had to go through all that. But at least they helped you get a few answers and now you can go to the endo armed with some knowledge about what's going on with you.
Best of luck at the new doctor and keep us posted!!

Re: I am DONE with my RE
I think the endo can suggest in their opinion if they feel the Thyroid is an issue or should you see another RE. Im sorry this happened..I had to switch RE's as well.
Sometimes a break is needed.
GOOD LUCK!

I think that is a great plan. FYI though because you had low progesterone after O in the past that may be why the recommended Clomid. I O every month on my own but my progesterone never got high enough. It has tripled and quadrupled on Clomid. It also did not dry up my EWCM even though now i am on 100 mg...I do NOT think you should be on Clomid just guessing about rationale

But, I don't have a history of low progesterone - my ob/gyn put me on it as a precautionary measure after my m/c, but he never confirmed if it was ever an issue. Every test with my RE has come back normal for progesterone. So, why would she recommend it?

Re: I am DONE with my RE
I don't know who you are seeing, but I think it's an excellent idea to see someone else based on your experience. Good luck.
