Car tire reviews
I need new tires for my car. Where can I find a "real" tire ratings website? Thanks! (I don't have a consumer reports membership)

this is from CR on all weather tires.
Best for all weather conditions:
2 Michelin
5 Michelin
The Michelin (2) is a very good all-around performer, but is only available from shopping clubs. The Michelin (5) performs capably but is noisier, with mediocre hydroplaning resistance.
If icy roads aren't a factor:
1 Goodyear
3 Hankook
4 Yokohama
These tires do well in everything except braking on ice. The Goodyear’s (1) ride is very quiet.
If long tread life is important:
4 Yokohama
5 Michelin
8 Dayton
15 Bridgestone
The Dayton (8) and Bridgestone (15) offer excellent tread life and good performance. The Yokohama (4) and Michelin (5) are better performers with very good tread life.

Thank you so much! But I'm confused on what Michelin (5) or (1) or the Bridgestone (15) is? What does that mean? Is that the name of them?

I always use http://www.tirerack.com They have a great color-coded and weighted chart, so you can see at a glance which tires are best.
They are rated by thousands of actual users, over millions of miles, so you get very realistic ratings.
