I was told that effective tomorrow I report to customer service and thats just how it is. I nodded my head. I then went to the manager of CS and spoke to him and he was really positive about the whole thing of me coming over. I still hurt and just not making heads or tails of this I just nodded.

So after all of that I went to HR. Apparently the Director of HR had no idea what was going on. The VP of HR just told her this is what is going on and it's a swap. Then another person of HR went into her all surprised and said she's going to CS

So apparently the Director of HR had no idea what was going on and doesnt understand why me, why this other person and why now. Why tomorrow.

She asked me if I ever had a review of any sort or any type of discussions about my job. I said no. For 3.5 months nothing. This is the first I was hearing and the response was always this change has to happen. The director was so She said nothing was making sense. I even told her I suggested bringing in the 5th person and that was immediately shot down. The Director was like well that doesnt make sense. I said I know but I was told it just couldnt happen and this change has to happen. She asked when is it scheduled, I said tomorrow. She said no it's not. I come in at my regular time of 8am and she is getting to the bottom of it. She has no idea what this is all about and now that I came to her and told her I do not want to go to CS and i was not in agreement she is investigating this.

I really hope it works out for you and the VP doesn't treat you like crap for going to the Director!!! Please keep us posted....

Yikes, what a mess over there, huh? Hopefully the HR Director will get it all sorted out and you can come to some happy resolution. But, I'd keep my eyes open for opportunities elsewhere, this place sounds like it might be more grief in the long run.

What I don’t get is how a company can just decide that you’re moving departments… without asking you or even telling HR.

This whole thing makes ZERO sense and I bet that this new person they’re bringing in to replace you “knows someone”

I know HR spoke to my boss b/c I saw her go into his office then close his door. They were in there for quite some time. Then she left and found the VP and went behind closed doors.

I am glad it's been noted that I did not agree to this and that I made a suggestion to have a 5th person and that suggestion was just completely shot down without explanation.
