Stroller question

DH and I went to BRU to look at strollers this week for the first time (of many I am sure). We really like the Graco Quattro Travel System because of the way it moves and height (DH is tall), but I am concerned about the weight. We tried out the metrolite and the Peg Perego but we didn't think they moved as well and were more uncomfortable for DH. Is the Quattro way to heavy?
I also thought about getting an infant carseat, a snap and go and then a non-travel system stroller. Are there any downsides to doing that other than it would probably be more expensive? Any recs for a stroller that is lighter weight, comfortable for a tall person, and doesn't break the bank? We are going to go to BRU and BBB again this weekend but I want to have something in mind.
TIA!!!

Getting the snap and go is such a smart idea if you have the extra money. Non-travel system strollers are soooo much better after the first few months, and the snap and go is so easy to use.

There are lots of strollers out there that you can't see at BRU and BBB. Check out http://strollers.baby-gaga.com/reviews/strollers.php for great thorough reviews.

Re: Stroller question

If you are looking for a lightweight stroller thats comfortable for tall people try the Maclaren Techno. It weights about 15 lbs folds up so easy and has adjustable handles. It also maneuvers very well. I got the Maclaren Techno and the Snap n Go. Also the Maclarens hold up really well...I live in NYC and see alot of moms with older Maclarens that look new. Good Luck

Re: Stroller question

what we decided to do was start off with the snap & go w/ the infant seat. i had the same worry you do about the weight of some of the strollers/travel systems, and I know I won't want to lift it in and out of my truck, especially in the cold weather. we are still researching lighter weight strollers to use after the snap & go, some of the ones we are looking at are the chicco c5, metrolite, maclaren triumph, peg pliko........my gut feeling is that we are going to wait to see what our needs really are after the baby is born

I started with the quattro and hated it - I ended up getting a peg prego anyway.

Re: Stroller question

I would try the Maclaren Quest and the Inglesina Zippy.
