Why are some people so rude?
I know I am only 8 weeks but I have a little belly already and yes it may not be baby just yet and clearly I am bloated but how rude is it when someone out right tells you that?
A few aquaintances have said to me, you have a little belly but it's not baby.
How rude can people be???

I feel your pain!!! Yesterday, we went to my MIL's for lunch so my mom could visit with her before she went back home. The first words out of MILS mouth when she saw me " wow you look like sh!t....I thought pregnant women were supposed to look beautiful"

People can be incredibly rude and as a PP said, it only gets worse. MIL's lovely boyfriend greeted me with "Hello Tubby" this weekend

Wow, I've heard some tactless ones, but THAT is bad! Who are these people that they feel comfortable saying that to someone? I'd be horrified. Isn't is crazy how people's brains go right to sleep when they are around a pregnant person? Like it is okay to pick apart your taste by telling you your name options are awful, telling you how "fat" you look or how "you don't even look pregnant" or other gems like that. Come on people. WE are supposed to be the absent-minded ones, right?

It's so true. I just don't get it. I think they (the rude ones) must think that being pregnant magically makes us comfortable with our changing bodies and gaining weight - oh, and totally down for any fat comments/jokes.
Especially considering that us preggo ladies are more sensitive these days, you would think they would have more common sense.

When I make comments like I'm tired or hungry to a friend of mine she always says "Already??" like it's so hard to believe that a 2 month pregnant women can't feel any pregnancy symptoms at this stage!!

yea people are just incredibly rude. my FIL constantly makes comments when I say I am tired. Finally yesterday my MIL said "She has a reason to be tired" That is after she said she can't believe how big I've gotten in the past week.

I'm dead serious, I know it's crazy! I actually started to explain myself and stopped myself. I mean why should I??? Dude, I'm freakin pg I shouldn't have to explain WHY I look bloated???

That's ridiculous. I'm so sorry! People are idiots. I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow, but I look MUCH further along. I have to hear about it everyday from everyone. It's horrible.
