can we say computer illiterate??

i know i shouldn't laugh, but this was too funny... i woman in my office (i think she's about 50, so not old by any means) jsut came up to me freaking out because she was trying to fix a report she had written and one part kept coming up bold.

yes, that's right - she had no idea that all she had to do was unclick the "B" on the top of her screen.

i totally understand needing help with the internet and other complicated programs, especially if you didn't grow up with a computer... but this woman has worked here for years. you mean to tell me you don't know how to sue a program as basic as word? wow...

That's funny.

Years ago I worked with this guy that was so hands off it wasn't funny, but it was.

His company was trying to train him to use the computer and the instruction would be:

Type 1,200,000 in cell A1 then ENTER.

He would type out the word enter, not hit the enter/return key

My 50 something ex boss doesnt know how to bold/unbold things either.

I still help out that dept so she will print something out and circle where she needs things bolded.

Ask me again why I have such a bad attitude!
