For invitations, I'd use Baptism. That's the name of the sacrament. (It's Baptism, not Christening)

In conversation, they mean the same thing. I'd use the name of the sacrament over "christening" on the invites, personally.

If you refer to the Bible, there is no celebration for christening.

Baptism is the point an adult becomes saved. Acts 2:38, 22:16...

I'm not tryiung to be offensive. I searched the Bible for a long time before I finally figured this out. I had the same question but didn't know this site existed. This is so cool.
