Hold Music

Who the heck comes up with the crappy music that gets played while you're waiting?????????? Good Lord, some of the music they put on is horrible!

My mother always used to comment on the hold music whenever she called my office, and she'd tell me what that day's selectoin was.

We used ot have it hooked up to an AM radio station, so sometimes it was calssical, but soemtimes it was talk, and she hated to get talk!

Now we have a CD, I think it's classical. I want to switch it with Debbie Gibson's Greatest Hits, though!

And I, presonally hate the ones that tell you how great the comapny is while you are on hold!

I used to sell the phone systems, and the person who buys the phone system gets to choose. You can do either 'how great the company is' or music on hold.

Technically, you are not allowed to hook it up to a radio because of liscensing issues, however, lots of people do it.

I actually had to do the voice for one of them on LI. The customer wanted a female voice, and asked for me to do it! I can still call up and hear myself!

There's some company I called once and their hold music was actually a local radio station.

So I got to hear the San Diego traffic report, the weather, local news, etc.
