Dear Colleagues,
Yes, I am wearing a headset.
I am making a lot of calls today and its easier for me than cradling the phone on my shoulder because I am older than you and my shoulder will hurt at the end of the day.
So just because I am wearing a headset doesn’t mean you can come round to my desk and make jokes all day. So here is a reply.
No, I am not taking a flying course.
No, I can not speak to extraterrestrials
No, I will not take your order
No, I do not want to know if you want fries with that shake
Tomorrow, I wear a motorcycle helmet with a microphone in it. See what kind of responses I get then.

I wear a head set at home, but only for long distance phone calls with my SIL or mother and know that I will be on the phone for a few hours.
A few people use it at work too, since they deal with multiple lines.
