Thank you question

I'm sitting here finishing up my shower thank you's.

Question - when people bring gifts to the hospital, it is customary to send out another thank you? I feel like I need to buy a different "set" of thank you cards, so people don't get the same thank you twice.

i printed cards from vista print that said thanlk you for the beasutifulgift we cant wait for little eddie to meet you...etc...for after the baby I will handwrite cards...

I think anytime you get a gift the people who gave it to you appreciate a thank you. Im not sure if they would really think too much about receiving the same card twice.

I ordered seperate ones for the hospital/after baby gifts. The shower thanks you were signed from Me and DH. The after baby arrives ones will be from Me, DH and Baby.

OMG, I remember writing thank you's for a year! I did send thank you's (different ones) for those gifts from the hospital and when people came by or sent packages in the mail after my DD was born.

i will definitely send thank yous for any gift, especially if it is a second gift on top of the shower gift. i don't think it matters if you use the same cards. you could always pick up a 12 pack of cute cards at the barnes and noble.

I totally think any gift deserves a thank you. We gave a gif to someone recently and never got a thank you and I thought it was rude.

Thats what i did.. i had a different thank card and sent it out, saying thank you for visiting baby in hospital and what ever the gift was.

I think I'm rude. I sent TYs after my shower, but I never sent them for hospital gifts. I thinked everyone in person and I was too busy to send them once the baby was born. I went back to work after 3 weeks. My day consisted of nursing, trying to nap when DS did and going to work.

I signed the shower gifts just from me since the shower was for me, not Vin.

I sent different one's after they were born, but I think I made the one's for my shower and then bought some fr after, just so I could get them out.

I would not think it is wierd to have the same one's.

Yes, it is customary (and expected) to send out thank you notes for additional gifts that are given once the baby is born. I bought a second set of thank yous.
