We were married (barely), were established in our careers with secure jobs, were financially stable, and had a house when I got PG....all I wanted that I didn't get to do was "enjoy being married for a few years first". DH and I didn't LTBM so that was something we wanted. We wanted the time to travel and just enjoy life as a married couple.
Now we are planning for #2 and getting everything done that we want before that happens.

I wanted to finish my Masters and buy a house. I finished the Masters in December and closed on the house in January and am now 22 weeks preggo.

I don't see anything, including a child, as an impediment on anything I may want to accomplish.
life is life. bring it on, no matter the order.
I disagree... it's not that having kids stops you from accomplishing goals, but definitely makes it more difficult or at least different...

I disagree... it's not that having kids stops you from accomplishing goals, but definitely makes it more difficult or at least different...
DC also change priorities.... After DC, a backpacking romp through Europe seems a lot less important, for example. After DC, a "trip to Europe" often means going to the World Pavilion at Disney...

I haven't answered my own question...
I want to own a house, finish my MBA, be secure in my job, be at a good place in my marriage (ie, we both feel ready for this big step), and finish the exam for my CPA.
We own the house, and I completed my MBA in '04, but I am still working on the last 2...
