We haven't put our on yet. It's being inspected on Nov. 8th so we're waiting at least that long before we use it. It feels chilly, but it's not at the freezing point yet so there shouldn't be any danger of pipes freezing.

Re: Did you put your heat on yet?

We haven't turned it on yet. I'm home all day with a broken ankle so bit chilly but I close the door in the den and between the big TV and the laptop it stays pretty warm in this room. We are also wearing layers and hooded sweatshirts. At night we pile the blankets on the bed and snuggle. Mornings are chilly but ok if we hop right in a hot shower.

I wouldn't worry about pipes freezing until the temperature actually drops below freezing. Am I wrong about that?

We put our heat on.

It got down to 59 degrees in FL. I've been wearing sweaters to work. I think our high was 70 degrees. chilly...

So our heat is on and kicking

That's so funny when you say "chilly" as it is going to be 30 degrees here tonight and it was 48 degrees at lunchtime!

Scott I just read thiis thread. Just a little hint. You should run your burner all year long. Its not good to let it stay off for to long. I would leave it on even though your not there. And I would definitly use your heat to make sure everything is working ok.

I have it running now....I will leave the burner running when we move in of course, because other wise I wont have hot water....

I keep it at 53 when we arent there and it is very warm upstairs even though it is set on 53 up there too....And I put it up to 60 when we are there working

Re: Did you put your heat on yet?

even though we live in GA, it's been going into the 40's at night. We closed the windows, but no heat yet. The house goes down to 60-63 when we wake up and goes up to 67-68 during the day, so we're trying to hold out.

Re: Did you put your heat on yet?

30 degrees is nuts.

I had the heat on in my car driving home from work tonight. But the only reason I did that was because I think the A/C in the office is broken because it said 70 but everyone was wearing a jacket and freezing. I still had a chill so I wanted to heat up

Yesterday it was 59 degrees when I left the house. The high was 70 for the day. Today was low 60's.

Surprisingly it does get cold in FL. Last winter I wore my turtle necks and a light jacket. We went to Orlando in January and I had on a sweatshirt and t-shirt and was still cold.
