We are going out to dinner with another couple tonight and the guy is hell-bent on going to this place, but a) I'm not wanting to drive to Merrick from where we are and they're not getting here until about 8:30 and b) I had my heart set on Italian tonight
Just looking for any ammo I can use to shoot this place down

Eh -- if you are going all the way there, I would suggest Lucca in Bellmore if you want really great Italian - on Merrick Rd, south side a little further east. Starfish was only so-so IMO.

Been there a few times, i wouldn't say that is was spectacular, but the seafood was fresh and we had a good time.
