Terrence Howard may have to wait to break his vow of celibacy. Spywitnesses at Spotlight Live in Times Square Tuesday say the actor tried to turn up the heat with Gabrielle Union, but she wouldn't simmer. Maybe that's because she's already with the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade, not to mention past liaisons with Derek Jeter and Howard's "Crash" co-star Ludacris. She rocked as Diddy took the stage at the industry's weekly karaoke confab in the high-tech club.

Reports have been circulating over the last two days of Jessica Simpson drinking and dashing on her tab at The Box, but an insider close to the songstress told us, "She didn't skip out on the bill. Her pal signed the tab [for one bottle of Grey Goose] but mistakenly took the slip with the signature. We called the club and fixed everything." Simpson took some snaps of the simulated silhouette sex show that occurred onstage behind a scrim, while newly single Lance Armstrong kept his eyes on Jess.

"Saturday Night Live" head writer and anchor Seth Meyers must have needed a break from a late-night writing session with "Superbad" star Seth Rogen, this week's host. Meyers turned up at the Lucid Absinthe launch at the Back Room Wednesday and exclaimed, "I can't wait to crack open a bottle! It's been really stressful for two days!" Meyers and a pal drank the elixir (the first absinthe allowed in the U.S. since an early ban for causing hallucinations) right out of the fountain. Meyers did seem happy to see the topless green-painted fairies meandering about. Don't worry, others saw them, too.

The working girls at Nevada's Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel are coming to the defense of Danny Bonaduce. You heard that police are questioning the former "Partridge Family" star after he sent "Survivor" loser Jonny Fairplay to the hospital at Tuesday's Fox Reality Awards in L.A. Sexy Brooke Taylor tells us it's no wonder that Fairplay, who started "monkey-humping" Bonaduce," landed on his face when Danny tossed him. "Jonny was drinking heavily backstage," says Taylor, who came to the awards with her HBO "Cathouse" boss, Dennis Hof. "He was trying to make out with me and [fellow Ranch-hand] Bunny Love. He tried to put his hand up my dress. He even tried to lick my toe. All the while, he was talking to me about his pregnant girlfriend. Classy."

A criminal investigation is being launched over sexually explicit pictures of reality starlets Kim and Kourtney Kardashian — taken while they were underage.

The sisters, who will star in E!'s "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" this fall, are identified as being in nude pictures that were offered for sale to media outlets yesterday. Kourtney is also seen in sexual poses with a naked man.

But while Kim is 27 and Kourtney is 28, sources say the pictures were taken 11 years ago, when they were teenagers.

A dozen explicit images were being offered by San Fernando Valley photographer Eric Ford. When contacted by this column yesterday, he insisted that no deal had yet been struck. It was not clear whether Ford knew the girls were underage in the photos.

Like her former pal Paris Hilton, Kim has already endured a sex tape scandal with her ex-boyfriend, R&B singer Ray J. Kourtney, meanwhile, was a star of the 2005 E! reality series "Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive."

A rep for Kim told me: "Any publication that would print these pictures, which are considered child pornography, will be subject to the same criminal investigation as the agency who is attempting to sell them."

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were spotted at E. 49th and Lexington Tuesday night. "They were reading a sign for Best Western and laughing hysterically," says our spy. "They thought it was funny that it said 'hospitality lodging.' I guess it's a little different than the Waldorf."

BARRY Bonds' ex-mistress, Kimberly Bell, was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to pose for the November issue of Playboy - but she won't see one penny of it thanks to David Hans Schmidt, the super-sleazy porn broker who committed suicide at age 47 last week.

"He completely ripped me off. He brokered my deal with Playboy, [all] the money went into his account and he used it to pay his attorney's fees," Bell told Page Six. She then eerily recounted a dramatic phone call Schmidt made to her hours before he hanged himself by a shower rod to avoid two years in jail for his $1 million plot against Tom Cruise involving stolen wedding photos.

"He was very upset and he had all these thoughts going through his head. He said he was really remorseful," the busty beauty told us. "I thought it was genuine. I told him, 'What you really need to do is to write letters to the people that you conned.' He said, 'This [taking her Playboy fee] shouldn't have happened to you or anybody,' and I said, 'Yeah, but you continue to do it!' " Within hours, Schmidt - whose slimy business has included handling X-rated footage of Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx and Paris Hilton - was dead.

Bell said she'd known Schmidt for a very short time. "I only met him about a month before the Playboy shoot. He approached me at a restaurant and started talking and left me a card. I knew nothing about his background. But after going to his office and seeing pictures on the wall of him shaking [Bill] Clinton's hand and with Shari Belafonte and Katarina Witt, I was taken with that. He made one phone call to Playboy and that was that. But then he wasn't able to attend the actual shoot because he'd been arrested. The Playboy money went into his account the day before he was busted."

Pathetically, before Schmidt hung up, he offered Bell a feeble olive branch - "A china set that I could go and auction off on eBay to get some money," she said.

Meanwhile, Bell may be called to give more testimony before a grand jury investigating Bonds and whether he lied about his use of steroids. She says while her experience with the home-run king has soured her on baseball, "I plan to root for the Yankees while I'm in town."
