Now that you are married....
What did you think was so important/ or what "policies" did you have, that now you think were silly or unecessary.
For me, I didn't want any babies at my wedding. My cousin from Fl. "told" me he was bringing his 3 month old - and although I wasn't happy I didn't say anything of course everything was fine. now that I am pregnant, and my sister has a baby- I think it is unfair to make people who come in from out of town deal with leaving their babies with strangers.
Also, the whole engagement party, Bridal Shower, Bachelorette party- its too much for me and the guests. I would have skipped the shower. But since I had been to so many, I wanted one of my own. Silly me.

Re: Now that you are married....
When I was single, I had a "rule" that I would never marry someone without going camping with them. I figured that is a good time to see someone's true colors. Well, DH came along, and his idea of roughing it is wearing sweats to breakfast at the hotel we are staying at. He made it clear that he had no intention of going camping, so I was satified with testing the waters just by going away with him on a few vacations

Re: Now that you are married....
I was set on 1 flowergirl. So I had my little cousin.
I have a ton of little cousins, and was no going to have any since I thought it was unfair. Then I did have the one. Well, what a war that started. I am glad I had her, and don't regret it, but I could have had them all be flower girls. Just have them walk down the isle, but not go to the reception.
I could not believe the way people acted.
