Proactiv vs. acnefree
I've heard both proactiv and acnefree (in the drug stores) are both good but I can't decide which to use. Which one do you think is better from your experience? TIA

Neither. Both are VERY strong and will bleach towels and and possibly your hairline if you get too close. I recomment Murad's 3-step kit. You can get a mini size of it at Sephora.com

DH uses proactiv. He's used it for 3 years now and loves it. I doubt he'd ever switch.

I've been using proactiv for years on and off and this has never happened to me.
Personally I think it is great and my skin has never looked so good.

Re: Proactiv vs. acnefree
I use Proactive- i think it's good- better than other items i've purchased but not AS good as what is presribed by a dermotologist.
Yes, I've ruined a few towels- but this is normal w. items that have benzoil peroxide.

I used proactiv for 3 years and loved it. I recently switched to a RX given by my derm...... but I always tell people to try it

I've been using proactive for 6-7 years. I think it is great! It only stains some towels and has never bleached my hairline.

Do you know if the prices of the items in the mall are the same as if you buy it through the mail?

Re: Proactiv vs. acnefree
I have to say......I bought this last week at Target for like $17.99 I think it was. It is working like a charm on my combo In-Law Stress induced acne!!!
Seriously, it is working great......all the areas on my chin that were hurting and huge embarrassing blemishes are gone after on like 4 nights of using it!
And I used Pro Active for several years and it was never this gentle on my face nor did it ever work this well!

I'm thinking maybe I should try something gentler first because I used proactiv in the past and it didn't help but I thought I didn't give it long enough. Decisions, decisions

If your skin is really breaking out and you have insurance, I would go see a dermatologist and not self medicate. You don't want to possibly make it worse

I did that and it worked pretty good but the meds are strong and dry out my face. He told me to maintain it and use the meds once a week but I still break out.
