He LOVES it!
Ok, first of all, what a liberating feeling to come home to my house, sans Dad, sans aid staring at me every minute of the day and getting in my way, and without having to pack Alex into the car to go pick him up from dialysis, take him home, do his laundry and cook his dinner. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
And second, I called him to check on him on his first day - he LOVES it! The welcoming committee took him to dinner and he says they were all really nice. He did say the only downer is that most of the people there are older than he, but he conceded that it doesn't really matter, considerng most are even more vigorous than he.
And, he's only been there one day and already he was invited to lunch for today and to join a few "ladies" at the kimmel center to see the Philly Orchestra.
SUCCESS! Ok, so, now, after 10 months, I can FINALLY breathe a big sigh of relief.
