I believe there is a special place in hell for people who schedule these things - also meetings after 4:00 pm on a Friday.

If you can do that, I say go for it!
I hate 5pm conference calls, usually, I end up getting stuck afterwards until 8pm. I try to avoid them like the plague.

Ok now here's the new dilemma. I left my cell at home of all days.
Boss just sent out ANOTHER email indicating a 5:45pm con call. 
I'm such a baby about this but I'm going to miss reading the bedtime story.

Obviously, the person who scheduled this was:
A) a man / a woman with NO LIFE
B) a man / woman with no children
C) a egomaniac that has to have everyone stay late for THEIR conference call.
Whoever it was, they are are a POS.
 's BArb, I would miss reading the bedtime story / tuck in as well.

Maybe you can explain to your boss that unfortunately, these early evening conference calls don't really work for your schedule anymore since you have a baby at home waiting for you. Explain for childcare reasons his last minute conference calls are becoming major issues.
