Camcorders, anyone have any recommendations or can tell me what to look for?
DH and I usually do not do anniversary gifts, but with the baby on the way we decided to get a camcorder as an anniv gift to each other. Any recommendations? Not just a brand and type but specs too.
It appears you can get a camcorder that can record:
directly to DVD
to a internal harddrive
to a memory stick
to a tape
What do you recommend?
Best Buy is having a sale, so we are going to go ask them. We are Sony people, so probably will end up with one of theirs'.

Dh went to Las Vegas the other year with a side trip to Hover Dam and the Grand Canyon..we got the camcorder for the trip and have used it so much! We got the Cannon that has video and stills. The pictures come out great too! Although there is no flash, that would be my only gripe. I LOVE it though and we use it all the time, look into the small Cannons, I think the newer models have a flash but the video and sound quality are great!!!

We have the Sony also. So nice to have it straight to disc. I love it and it is small too.

Thanks. We went to Best Buy today and they were very helpful. We are thinking of getting the Sony with the 30GB harddrive.
