fax situation
my printer has the fax option and i have optium online. i can't figure out how to send a fax though. it keeps coming up failed. any ideas on how to get this to work?

When Time Warner wanted me to use their phone service I asked about sending faxes and they told the service didn't have that capability yet. Maybe it's the same with your service?

no, we have the same thing w/ optimum online and we have our printer connected to a phone jack in the wall.

I have cable modem and phone
to send a fax from my printer- which is a 4 in 1 machine
I have to pull the phone line into the printer- there is spot on the back
I send and recieve faxes all the time this way
