Do I have to go?
I know I do, but I really don't want to.
DH's advisor is having a dinner tonight to celebrate one of his other students graduating, and to welcome the NEW postdoc that he hired (even though my DH has NO job yet and his funding ends soon). I am just not looking forward to seeing everyone in DH's research group, because ALL the students just got new jobs and recently graduated except DH. It's just not going to be pleasant. Not to mention that I think DH's advisor hasn't really helped him with suggestions on what to do, so I'm not exactly thrilled. We're stressed enough about the future and I just wanted to relax tonight, not go and be with all people who are doing well. I hope DH doesn't feel too bad after the dinner tonight. It's sort of a slap in the face.

Re: Do I have to go?
Well, I saw the invite list and there are other people outside the research group going, so that will make it better at least.
