DH saved the day
I usually fight my own battles, I really do, but this whole situation with my father has just drained me. I'm spent. Totally and completely spent For once, DH picked up on it, and offered to call the store for me, while I battled it out with the delivery company.
He raised a complete and total ruckus at the store and at customer service, and as a result, not 30 mins ago I got a call from the delivery company apologizing out the arse, and ASSURING me that they will arrive at 10:30am, and if not, they will wait until the building allows them to move the furniture in.
PHEW.
Sometimes it pays to be married to a stubborn Israeli

that's GREAT!!!
I'm like you and always "fight my own battles" and take care of everything (complete control freak) but I find that most of the time I am completely stressed out beyond belief (sound familiar?) And when DH does things like your DH did it makes me feel such relief because sometimes I forget that he is capable of fighting battles too. I just never let him.

That's great Beth! Its so wonderful to know that even though you are so strong, its OK to be a little weak once in a while and DH will still take care of things. 
After all this is done, you guys deserve a night away!
