Re: Clomid- Estridiol level?

I'm just curious- does anyone know what the right range is for estridiol? My RE wants me to keep getting bloodwork to check my levels- but I have no idea what level we should be looking for. Anyone know? I haven't seen my Dr.- they keep passing me off the the Dr that's there (they're partners) and I have to keep dealing with him (again this friday I've already heard).
Can someone please tell me what I should be looking for. They said I was 66 at my last bloodwork yesterday- and now i have to go again on Fri.
Thanks!!!! Chat Icon

Re: Re: Clomid- Estridiol level?

Here is a chart showing where normal Estradiol levels should be during a cycle.
Follicular are the first half of your cycle/Luteal are the second and it counts forward and backward from ovulation....
Follicular (-12): 19-83 pg/mL
Follicular (-4): 64-183 pg/mL
Midcycle (-1): 150-528 pg/mL
Luteal (+2): 58-157 pg/mL
Luteal (+6): 60-211 pg/mL
Luteal (+12): 55-150 pg/mL
Postmenopausal (untreated): 0-31 pg/mL

Also for every mature follicle you should have about 200 - when was your last clomid pill? Did you have a sono? Were there any follies?

My last pill was on Sept 18th (day 9 in my cycle). I was told that I had either a 65 or 66 level of estridiol on the 25th (day 16 in my cycle). Now I have to go again tomorrow.
I was also told a week ago tomorrow (day 12 of my cycle) that I had "lots of small follicles" on my right ovary but that they couldn't get a clear shot of my left ovary- it kept showing up blurry...

So needless to say, I'm clueless. I keep waiting to see MY dr. but they keep handing me over to his partner (which I've never had happen before) and i know a lot of people on here see him as well, but I don't know him from a hole in the wall. I feel like my dr. should be the one explaining everything to me and i'm feeling in the dark now.

Re: Re: Clomid- Estridiol level?

Hmmm. Were you only on 50 mg? Sounds like it may not have been enough if your level is that low. Your follies may not be growing enough. I went through that (twice) and it s ucks. Remind me again, you have PCOS, right?

And if you don't see your doctor tomorrow - when they call you with your results (if they do that), tell them you want to speak with YOUR doctor.
