How soon...
After you have your first appointment with your RE did you begin treatment? I have an appt. on 10/11 and I will around cd12/13. I usually don't O until cd 17-20. Do you think they would do an IUI that cycle (unmedicated- we have male factor only)? I would love to begin right away but I wasn't sure how fast they get things started??

there is alot of testing to go through depending on your specific case I saw RE in Oct and didn't start taking meds until April but we did IVF right awat IUI might be different

I started seeing my RE end of February and the very next cycle we did a medicated IUI so I would think there are other REs who would do the same. Good luck. HTH.

Thanks. I have had all the basic bloodwork and the HSG (all in Aug) so I am hoping I won't have to repeat all of it. But I guess they want to have their own numbers

I saw an RE for the first time in August.. than in sept I did a medicated IUI.. I pushed for that myself.. i had all the basic tests done (just like you) and my doc just wanted to do a month medicated and I said well lets throw in IUI and not waste time.. I would say put some pressure on these docs if you feel comfortable with it. Good luck.

Yeah, I really don't want to do a medicated cycle without IUI. To me it seems useless since I am already ovulating. But I guess it all depends on what the RE says.

I had an iui the cycle that i first saw the RE. they also did a SA that cycle. It was unmedicated i didn't start the clomid until my next cycle.

Yeah, I really don't want to do a medicated cycle without IUI. To me it seems useless since I am already ovulating. But I guess it all depends on what the RE says.
I also was ovulating, but i think they did that so you didn't have to start the meds right away. my friend got pregnant on her first unmedicated one. good luck!
