antibiotics and upcoming iui

I have the worst sinus infection, went to the doctor today and she prescribed me antibiotics. i told her i was trying to conceive and she said that this antibiotic you could take while pregnant, but they could mess up your hormones. i called the RE office and they said that i should take it because i need to be healthy. i am on cd 8 and i have one more night of clomid. i am nervous i don't want to screw anything up this cycle.

hmmmm i dont know. i know that antibiotics with birth control pills is an issue. i took antibiotics when i was pg with my son, i think i took amoxicillian and zpak. i think you should be fine.i hope you feel better. my son is sick and now im feeling the aches in my body.

The antibiotic won't affect your hormones to the extent of preventing pregnancy.
It may throw the numbers off very slightly, but not enough to stop follies from developing or ovulation from happening.

As the RE said - it's better for you to be feeling well and on antibiotics than to be sick as that will throw your whole system off.
