Help! I am having trouble with my prenatal vitamins
I can't swallow them anymore....They don't make me nauseous or anything, I just can't swallow them---I don't understand why. I wasn't having any trouble before today.
When I was a little girl I used to have problems like this and my mom would crush up any pills I had to take.... Am I reverting back?! lol
What can I do? Do you think I can crush them up or is that not good for me?

don't crush them Try taking them with yogurt or something!!

I HATE Taking anytype of pill.. So what i do i put some water in my mouth then the pill and swallow it together and that works for me

That's exactly what I have to do. I have never been able to put pill in first...no matter how small it is.

I am like this. Wet your mouth with something, I can't do water, has to be juice, and then take them. It helps.

Maybe use a pill cutter? Or ask your OB if you can crush it. I know there is one brand that is chewable too.

I have a problem swallowing them as well, I gag for some reason only when taking them. I usually take a drink of water first then take the vitamins right away.

PrimaCare 1 is sort of like a gel-cap, you can't open it, but its smooth rather than chalky like a tablet - I don't know if that'll help you. Also, same as MsG, I know that there's a chewable 1. Talk to your ob- its a common problem, he/she probably has some solutions.

I just wanted to share - I never took a prenatal vitamin my entire pregnancy because of severe morning sickness. My OBGYN was not concerned.... try to get calcium from tums, thats what I did, and get vitamins from the foods you eat. My baby was born very healthy!!!

Ask for chewables. I got a prescription for chewables b/c I cannot swallow pills at all.
