how hard is venetian plaster?

Has anyone done it?

I want to attempt it in my kithen, but I am quite scared

I have! Its easy IMO--It is physically hard-my arm was about to fall off but you can do it over a few days. I also did a HUGE area--it may be better in one room like a kitchen

ETA: You can get any color BM paint made into venetian plaster at Aboffs

sorry for all the questions I just love the way it looks and dh is afraid it may be too difficult for us to take on....we are not handy

You have to buy blue steel trowels. They have at Aboffs too. I pured my plaster into an oblong tupperware so I could ewasily scoop it out. I got my directions online:

I'm sure you can find others. I also had a bucket with warm water and a washcloth so I could wipe down my trowel every few steps. You guys can definitely do it! Its not hard
