Got Tomatoes?
I feel a little silly asking - but does any one know where I can find tomatoes sold by the crate? I called a couple of farm stands and have had no luck. I bought one crate from a stand in Massapequa, but they sold out of their last shipment.

You really have to go out east to the North Fork. I know there is one all the way out by Orient that sells seconds for like $10 box (and it's a big box). But I'm sure most of the farmstands from Riverhead out will have seconds. The key is to go to a place that grows their own, which most of the places in Nassau don't do.
