Dear Mr. Conducter (part 2):
You still rock.
When I straightened my hair this morning, it was out of sheer laziness. With everything going on in my life, I just didn't have the energy to jump in the shower, shampoo, condition, treat and then blowdry, so I took the easy way out. You have no idea what a task it is to get ready in the morning when you've been cursed with "jewish hair".
So, when you walked by me on the train this morning, and made a point to stop and ask whether I got a new haircut, and tell me that you love how it looks, it put a little smile on my face.
You almost had me basking in your kindness, until you said:
"Now you look like one of those high powered attorneys"
Um... I am, and have been for quite some time, a "high powered attorney", straight hair, or not
I guess it's the thought that counts, right?
Signed, The higher high powered attorney with straight hair
P.S. Thank you Mr. Doorman, Mr. Starbucks and Mr. Neighbor for all noticing and commenting on my new hairstyle this morning

Re: Dear Mr. Conducter (part 2):
...once, when I was young and slim, I went on the subway in NYC early in the morning after a big night out, staying at my sisters in the city unexpectedly, and this transit cop kept following me around, and in the end he came up to me and asked me if I was single and if he could have my number etc. And I was like, no sorry I have a boyfriend etc (was very flattered etc) and when I sat down on the subway I realised that I was in last nights short skirt and I had no knickers on!!
Oh to be young and knickerless again!!!
