Sorry wedding related but need help!!!
I am looking to do a sign-in board for my friend's bridal shower. Has anyone ever done this or had it done? How would I go about this?? I am embarrassed to say I have no idea  . I was thinking of possibly blowing up her invite (wine-themed) or maybe do a "best wishes" thing with a pic of her and FH. What kind of person would be able to handle this??? Photographer possibly?
Could someone perhaps help or give some ideas... I need to know how to go about this.

Get the photo enlarged.
Then go to AC Moore & get a mat to frame around it. After all the signing is done, frame it for her!

One thing I am wondering though is should I enlarge the invitation or a pic of her and her FH? The only reason I am leaning more towards the invite idea is because I feel that a couple pic is more of an actual wedding day idea. The invite would go along nicely with our theme.

I think that it is a great idea, however I think that it might be one of those things that ends up in a closet somewhere, especially if it doesn't match any of their decor.
What if you got an album and asked everyone to bring a picture of them and the bride along with an index card of advice for the bride to be? Then she could keep it with her wedding albums and visit it from time to time. You could put the invite on either the front of the album or as the first page.

At my wedding, instead of a sign in board, I had a polaroid guest book. You could do it for a shower too. Everyone had fun with it and it is one of my most cherished items of that day. You just need a polaroid camera and a book. I had a book specially for the polaroids (see link), but you could use a scrapbook too.

My sister did this dish as a "sign in" plate for my shower. The cool thing about it is that you bake it in the oven after everyone has signed it and then it can be used as a serving plate.

To be honest, I think a sign in book is a much more practical idea. Most people don't want to have that giant sign hanging around long-term, and it ultimately gets thrown away.
At my shower, my MOH passed around an address book, and everyone there wrote in their family's information. I thought that was a great idea. If the invites haven't gone out yet, you can also ask people to bring their favorite recipe and hand out recipe cards for them to fill out.

At my friend's engagement party they had two boards, advice for the bride and advice for the groom. It was really cute, because people wrote matching messages.

Yes I love it! Besides a book I might not look at but this I have hanging and can see it everyday.

hmm.. i think the sign in board thing is more for the wedding day, and not the shower. i LOVE it for a wedding, but for a shower, i'm not so sure. i REALLY like the idea of the plate that everybody signs... i think thats much more " shower-like". good luck!
