Re: crib help?

I have never heard that. The sides of a crib aren't solid, so I am not sure what a difference solid ends would make. Chat Icon

Re: crib help?

In fact, if the ends have the bars, the crib bumpers can stay attached better!!! I think mine is solid on the ends but I can't remember. It's on order.

Re: crib help?

Since the sides are bars and the baby is more likely to roll from side to side than top to bottom I would say it doesnt make much sense to have the ends be solid and not the sides....if anything I would think the other way around would be safer...but I dont even think they make them like that.

Re: crib help?

If you get a regular crib (by regular I mean a crib that does NOT convert) the head and the foot will probably be solid, but the long sides will be slats. If you look for a convertible crib I can tell you there are @ 10 that have one solid side and 3 sides with slats/bars, all the rest have 4 sides with slats/bars. There are no cribs that are designed any other way.
