PuppyDog is Revolting Against the Crate - Need Help
OK - so I'm in Florida - DH is still in NY for another week and a half. It's been difficult working full time and taking care of the pets on my own. For the past two nights, PD has been crashing herself against the crate and waking me up in the middle of the night. So on top of everything else, I'm exhausted. DH thinks I should just give in right now and let her sleep under the bed, but I don't want to de-train her. I'm also nervous about her peeing in the apt if she's out of the crate - which she's done three times already!!! Any suggestions? I'm really getting to the end of my rope
Thanks!

i know how you feel, our puppy whines in her crate for long periods at a time thru the night...its hard, b/c I am a light sleeper and can't fall back asleep till she quiets down. Last night alone she woke up at 3, 5, then 6 AM (which was the first time that happened in a while) but we stick to your guns and leave her in there...its really rough, but she has to learn to stay in there. Maybe keep some toys in there to keep her busy?

Have you covered it with a blanket? Put a ticking clock in the crate?
