Why is it
that every woman's magazine in America assumes we all have a weight problem? I was reading Redbok in a waiting room and every freakin article was about how to lose weight/eat less/exercise, and etc.
thoughts?

Probably because a majority of the women in America DO have a weight problem. And not necessarily because of obesity, but after they have babies, etc. That's just my guess.

So are the annoying articles about how to have an ******. It's their shtick, ya know? I've stopped buying many magazines for this reason. I don't need any advice on how to be a whore. Thanks.

because many women in America are at least overweight, if not obese. and a diet is a quick "fix", which is the American way.
no one is going to tell these companies to stop making sh1t food or hugemongous portions, so they create a NEW market to make money off of...magazines, diet pills, subscription weight loss websites....
one hand fattens you up, the other slims you down.
and yes, those of you that are slim and fit, will have to flip through the hundreds of articles, b/c weight is the hott topic selling this mags right now.

The funny thing is, is that every magazine has their own "magic" answer for weight loss.
Eat in moderation, shake your coollie and be done with it.

even the thinnest women who are in good shape are always looking to be thinner or stay thin.
It's what the media and society have done to get us to think that way.
