How do you make a doctor's apppointment?
I just moved to NJ and I have new health insurance and I am trying to find new doctors. Well my DH had a cold and now has had this cough for two weeks + and I need to amke him an appointment and nobody will see him becsue they aren't taking new patients or they aren't making appointments for another month. I don't understand how I can't find anything. How do you I get him checked out when nobody will see him? Sorry maybe this is more of a vent then a question I ahve been calling doctors for teh last two days and i have had it.

He doesn't want to go to the hospital, becasue he doesn't feel its an emergency. I don't kow where there are any walk in clinics around here I'll have to look. I am in southern jersey.
I just called another doctor that said they only way they would see him is if i get his records sent they would make an appointment but she's seeing what she can do.

Well there's another one off the list they won't take him until his records get there and then we stil have to wait for an appointment. At this point I am ready to call the insurance company and tell them they need to find me a doctor.

Can you go to the insurance website? I know for my insurance (aetna), I can go to their site, and look for doctors in the area. It lists who they are, where they are, hours, if they take new patients, specialties, etc. Very handy.

try a walk in medical make sure they are on your insurance though
i know theres one in wall and one in howell .. i dont know how far south into jersey you are though
