Re: AC hotels
I've been there a few times...if you have the time to get a hotel room, then you should, it's nice to have a home base, even if you won't be spending too much time in your room...I also recommend staying on the strip, it gives you a lot more options of places to go and see...I've stayed at the Borgata twice-and that's not on the strip-and we pretty much just stayed there, because we didn't want to drive or shuttle bus...the last time I stayed at Bally's...it was nothing fancy, but we had a great time...also, they had a nice hot tub area by the pool..instead of one big communal hot tub, they had like 4 or 5 smaller private tubs...very nice.

Re: AC hotels
I stayed at the Taj and Resorts. Both were very nice. I would stay away from this placed called the Atlantic Palace Suites. It was so grimey. We rented two rooms for my Bachelor Party. We went up to the rooms drank a few beers and then left immediately. We got our money back and went to the Taj.

Re: AC hotels
We usually stay at the Tropicana. It's pretty nice. I've also stayed at the Holiday Inn on the boardwalk, it's right next door to the Trop. There isn't much on site, but it's fine if you just need a convenient place to sleep.
