How much..
should I tip for a gift certificate spa package??
My DH got me a spa package and I'm going to use it next week. I was wondering how much you ladies think is a reasonable tip?? I'm not too sure if one person is doing everything (facial, massdage, mani/pedi, etc.). Thanks!

I just had a nice spa package as a gift. I always tip the people that perform the service.
I'm normally a higher tipper so I did approx. 20.00each for facialist and the pedi/manicure person.
ETA 20% is the norm...I tend to go above that ...

I tip the same amount... I never ever tip less than 5.00 for something, even if it's way higher than 20%. That's at least my minimum.... That really only applies to the diner or something like that. The bill is usually very low, and the tax doubled is always less than $5.

I've haven't had the pleasure of ever having a tip included in a spa gift package. Maybe different places include that option?

Whenever I have received one- tip and tax were included. I have also purchased them the same way...
I guess maybe it does depend on the place. If anything, I would think places would want to make sure it was included since as a recipient of a GC, one may think they don't have to tip.

Thats what had me thinking when I got a gift package...I wasn't sure so I asked the person who checked me in. It also was my kids that did gift giving and they probably didn't think to add a tip
